Our team, our approach, and why we built an exclusion-first company.

Rodent R Us is a Los Angeles rodent exclusion company built on one principle: seal the entry points first.
We are based in Tarzana, in the heart of the western San Fernando Valley. From there, we serve residential and commercial properties across Los Angeles. Our crew of 15 or more field technicians handles everything from single-family home inspections to multi-unit commercial contracts. We do not subcontract.
This is a company built for Los Angeles. Roof rats climbing citrus trees. Spanish tile rooflines with open bird blocks, the gap beneath clay roof tiles where tile edges meet the fascia. Aging 1960s homes in Reseda and Canoga Park with compromised foundation vents. These are the conditions our crew works in daily. We know them because we operate inside them.
Rodent R Us was founded in 2025, and the timing was not accidental.
The January 2025 Eaton and Palisades fires displaced rodent populations across the Los Angeles region at a scale most homeowners had never encountered. Communities near the burn corridors, including neighborhoods throughout the San Fernando Valley, saw sharp increases in rodent activity within weeks. Homeowners who had never dealt with a rodent issue found them inside walls, attics, and garages almost immediately.
What became clear, quickly, was that the standard response, traps and bait stations, was not solving the problem. Rodents were removed. New ones arrived. The entry points stayed open.
We built Rodent R Us to address that gap directly. Trapping without sealing is a cycle, not a fix. Exclusion-first, meaning we physically close every confirmed entry point before anything else, is the approach that ends an infestation rather than managing it indefinitely.
That founding philosophy is not a marketing position. It is the operational model the company was designed around from day one. The retainer program, our ongoing maintenance plan that keeps exclusion work current over time, was part of the original service offering, not an addition developed later.
We started with 15 or more crew members because the demand in Los Angeles required real capacity from the beginning.

Metro coverage
Rodent R Us runs a crew of 15 or more field technicians dispatched from Tarzana.
This is not a one-person operation wearing a company name. The crew size means that when you call to schedule an inspection, you are booking from a real pool of available technicians, not waiting for a single person to finish their current job.
For commercial properties and larger residential jobs, we can deploy multiple crew members at the same time. That matters for both scope and scheduling.
Credentials and licensing
Rodent R Us focuses on physical exclusion work, the permanent sealing of rodent entry points.
What is confirmed
Rodent R Us carries a crew of 15 or more trained field technicians. The company is based at 5336 Mecca Ave, Tarzana, CA 91356. All work is performed by direct employees, not subcontractors.
Licensing status
California requires a Structural Pest Control Board (SPCB) license for most rodent exclusion work marketed as pest control. Licensing status and the specific license type, number, and issuing body will be listed here once confirmed.
Every job follows the same sequence: inspection, identification, sealing
Inspection first, always
We do not start sealing until every confirmed entry point is documented. We map the full picture before we address a single gap.
Material matched to entry point
Hardware cloth, a rigid wire mesh, for large foundation gaps. Xcluder fabric, a stainless steel and poly fiber fill, for pipe penetrations. The right material for the specific opening, not one product applied everywhere.
Roofline work included
In Los Angeles, roof rats enter from above, not below. Exclusion work that does not address the roofline, soffits, and Spanish tile bird blocks is incomplete for this city.
Written findings delivered
Every inspection produces a written record of entry points identified and sealed. That document is the customer's record of what was done and where.
Retainer follow-up at the right interval
We set retainer visit timing based on each property's actual exposure. Canyon-adjacent homes in Tarzana and Woodland Hills face different pressure than a flat-lot property in a dense residential block.
What we stand behind
Rodent R Us does not consider a job finished when the crew leaves. If a sealed entry point fails or a new point is identified after service, we want to know. The retainer model was built so that exclusion work does not deteriorate between visits without anyone catching it.
The retainer program is available to both residential and commercial customers. Under the plan, the crew returns on a scheduled interval to inspect existing seals, identify any new vulnerabilities, and document the current status of the property's exclusion. This is a structural maintenance commitment.
